We’re here to connect and kindle
life long friendships through doing.

Way back in 2013, the City of Belmont facilitated public consultation to ascertain the desirability of having a Men’s Shed in the City. In June 2013, a small number of men agreed to be the steering committee under the chairmanship of Brian Carey to further explore the feasibility and development of a Men’s Shed. In February 2016 the Belmont Men’s Shed was opened by Councillor Phil Marks, Mayor of the City of Belmont, at its current address. The inspiration for this initiative had been the outstanding success of other community sheds throughout Australia.

Since that time we have over 80 men have been involved in the life of the Shed. Our goals are simple - we aim to connect men through friendship and purpose in our community. We’re a welcoming bunch so please feel free to come down and check out our great facility and see what we’re all about.

Interested? Why don’t you get in touch.
